Hometown

I feel I've been back to my life again after some time visiting my friends and family in my hometown. It was good and refreshing. As always, I've learned so much there...I'm not the same person who I used to be when I lived there...it might make my visits a bit intriguing to some, I think! And it makes me see things in a different light too...so I prefer who I am now, although not everybody can understand who I chose to be...well, I guess we don't need to be apart from people for some years to get to the point where they don't understand us, it can happen even with the ones who are beside us everyday...and some people who are apart from us still can get who we are even when we're not somehow who they've met before...

I had a great time back there and I can only thank God, my parents and my husband for it...and hope I can have the same opportunities here where I chose to live and where I feel is also my home. This post is to thank all the great opportunities God has given me and pray that I can make myself deserving of them all, here or anywhere of the world I might be...

Adele's song Hometown Glory expresses part of it: "- Is there anything I can do for you dear? Is there anyone I could call?
-No, and thank you, please madam, I ain't lost, just wandering"

Peace!

I've been walking in the same way as I did
And missing out the cracks in the pavement
And tutting my heel and strutting my feet
"Is there anything I can do for you dear? Is there anyone I could call?
No, and thank you, please madam, I ain't lost, just wandering"

Round my hometown, memories are fresh
Round my hometown, ooh, the people I've met
Are the wonders of my world, are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world, are the wonders and now

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque
I love it to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides

Shows that we ain't gonna stand
Shows that we are united
Shows that we ain't gonna take it
Shows that we ain't gonna stand
Shows that we are united

Round my hometown, memories are fresh
Round my hometown, ooh, the people I've met

Are the wonders of my world, are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world, are the wonders of my world
Of my world, yeah, of my world, of my world, yeah
